Visioning Your Future Self
When I am talking about visioning your future self, I'm not just talking about your dream self. I actually mean what visioning your future self would be.
Visioning yourself in the future normally is thought to be what you dream of becoming in the future. While this can be the case for some most people have these expectations without knowing where they should start.
When starting to vision your future self it may take a while for you to really understand how to do this. One of the first things that I like to do when thinking about my future self is writing down everything I want to accomplish and experience in life. For example: I want to move overseas, travel to Europe, and be more creative. These are only a few things on my list but it's a starting point.
Once I have my list I like to break it down for each point on the list.
Asking myself for each (some may not apply for all):
Is there anything I need to do before I can do this?
Is there a specific/rough amount of money I need to save?
Can I start this now or do I need to ease myself into this?
What time frame would I like to complete this?
You can ask more questions which are specific for yourself. From here I like to think about my daily habits, food I'm eating, what I am doing for work (how I act, feel, dress) and more. I personally like to think about how I act and present myself whether it's my attitudes or how I dress. This changes for a lot of people it's whatever makes you feel more like yourself and how you feel confident.
Remember this is only a starting point and changes for everyone. What makes you feel confident may not make others. And this will take time to achieve, so take it one step at a time.
P.S. Creating a vision board helps if your a visual person. Here is a little bit of mine.
